Moonstone: The Power of the Moon in a Gem

From the vastness of the universe to the littlest spark in our eyes, we see dualities that play their parts to nourish the whole. There’s good and bad, right and wrong, big and small, male and female, and light and dark. These counterparts balance each other out to bring total equilibrium in the grand scheme of things. The sun is the yang to the moon’s ying. The sun is the father and the moon is the mother in the Milky Way clan.

Although the moon is seen as a lustrous heavenly body, she only reflects the sun’s light to bring illumination to mankind. She, then becomes the mirror of our hearts, gleaming with wonder, emotion, fertility, clarity, transition, intuition, and balance. All these are captured in a gem that emulates the ethereal luster of the moon. This gem holds the power of the moon deep inside its crystalline form.

Moonstone Gemstone

The Romans believed that Moonstone was actually formed from the moonbeam and that it displays the image of Diana, the Moon Goddess that bestows love, prosperity, victory and wisdom upon the possessor. Other legends claim that it contained the gifts of prophecy and clairvoyance. It is said that Moonstone could calm the mind and allow the wearer to gain wise thoughts, while keeping the heart and mind in sync.

As primeval as the moon itself, Moonstone holds the power of mystery. Its secrets are locked beneath a pearly veil, and with them, our own hidden truths. That is why when we look at the moon, we somehow pause to look inside of ourselves. Only when we appreciate its reflected light can we begin to see what it has to teach us. Moonstone is deemed as a talisman of the inward journey. It delves into the deepest part of the self to bring to light what isn’t there and what needs to be there.

Moon Magic inside the Gem

Since the beginning of time, Moonstone has been a true testament to the magic of the moon. It’s celebrated as an amulet of protection for travelers, a gift for lovers for passion, a channel for prophecy, and a path to wisdom. As it waxes and wanes, it hails the tides of the Earth and the tempos of our emotions. Moonstone soothes and inspires, schooling us the natural flow of life.

When the moon wanes, it teaches us to release, let go, and let everything simmer down to a silent pause. New moons remind us of a fresh start and that every falling star can be born again. While the waxing moon urges us to take what we learned to heart, take action, and reach for our dreams. And finally, the full moon is a mirror to our peak – our attainment of clarity and wholeness.

Like the moon, Moonstone’s play of light reminds us of the lunar cycle. That we are subjected to change all the time, but we must keep our feet on the ground for constant battles and our spirits always soaring for new beginnings.

Hi M O O N Child,

We understand most people don´t know their ring size. So we hope the below information will help.

⇢ All our Moonstone rings come in US American sizes - we don´t offer half sizes ⇠

If you´re aware about your size you can check the table below to convert it into our US sizes.
Also if you already own a ring that properly fits the intended finger you could also use it to measure it in order to find out your ring size from the table below.

If you are between sizes, order up.

If you think now
"Nice to know  - but I still have no idea what my ring size is..."
we´re here to help:

1. Get a non-stretchy string (or paper) about 6" long & 1/4" wide.
2. Wrap it around the spot of your finger where you intend to wear the ring. It has to fit snug, but not too tight.
3. Mark the point on the string (or paper) where it overlaps forming a circle.
4. Measure the length of the string (or paper) and check for the corresponding ring size in the chart.

A few tips from our side:

Make sure your finger is at a normal body temperature as fingers can shrink or expand when it´s cold or hot. If your knuckle is larger than your finger’s base, take two separate measurements & choose a size in between. You want a ring to fit over your knuckle, but not be too loose or it will shift around.

If you still don´t have a clue, check out our ring size suggestions below...
